The past is the past
Most people have something in their past they wish had never happened. The fact is, it did happen and now it’s part of your history. But you don’t have to embrace the past. Holding on to the past, refusing to let go of old hurts, bad relationships and failures can hinder your future. So much so that when an opportunity to move forward comes along, when you are given a chance to embrace something new and different that could lead to success and prosperity, you shrink back. Dwelling on the past can cause you not to have confidence towards your future. Apostle Paul refused to let his past block his future.
He said: “Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 3:13-14).
Leave the past where it belongs—in the past. Start reaching for your future in the Lord and prepare for a life of success and victory
